Safe Streets for All Unified Safety Action Plan Available for Review!
In 2023, the Cities of Wayne, Westland, Inkster, and Garden City were jointly awarded federal funding through the Safe Streets for All program to develop a Unified Safety Action Plan inclusive of all four communities. The Plan creates a framework for addressing the 4-city region’s most pressing transportation safety, affordability, access, and equity challenges for all transit modes and roadway users and will make our community eligible for implementation resources.
- The Final Unified Safety Action Plan is up for Adoption. Community members are encouraged to review the Plan and share their comments with the Project Team:
- Review the Safe Streets for All Unified Safety Action Plan.
- Send your comments by email to Paul Urbiel, AICP at purbiel@mcka.com
- Attend your community's respective City Council meeting, where City Council will consider adoption of the Plan (see your local agendas for more information!).
